The U of U Ensembles are among the finest ensembles of their kind in the country. Students in the Wind Ensemble routinely remark after their experience, "I had no idea that this sort of musical was available at this level. The U of U Wind Ensemble is one of the best groups I've played in."
Why Utah?
The U of U offers many great ensembles and opportunities outside of the classroom. You'll have the opportunity to explore many high caliber ensembles, studying with some of the finest instructors in the country. Salt Lake is home to many different types of professional groups, giving you a great opportunity to enjoy great music and a wonderful arts scene.
Utah is also home to people from all walks of life and was noted as the "Happiest Place in the Country" by a recent Gallup Poll. There are limitless outdoor activities from hiking, golf, skiing, camping and many more.
There are seven world-class ski resorts within a 30 minute drive of campus. Hiking at any of Utah's National Parks within a reasonable drive and limitless trails to explore in the Wasatch Mountains.
